At Launch Virtual Academy we understand mental health is a critical aspect of overall well-being. In fact, it is estimated that in the United States alone one in five children ages 3 through 17 grapple with mental, emotional, developmental, or behavioral disorders. In an effort to provide relevant and current education, we have partnered with the state of California to create the first Behavioral Health & Wellness Academy of its kind.
Upon enrollment in this 3-year program students will receive specialized training that will equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue meaningful careers in psychology, nursing, behavioral therapy, and more.
In addition, we have partnered with Industry Leaders to provide a variety of experiential opportunities including industry related certifications, eye-opening field trips, engaging guest speaker presentations and mentorship and internship opportunities to name a few.
The holistic approach of the program will not only provide students access to a rich tapestry of experiences that will inform and inspire their career aspirations but also empower students to make a tangible difference in the lives of others.
It is evident that the demand for mental and behavioral health professionals is on the rise. In San Diego County alone, a staggering 18,000 new mental and behavioral health workers are projected to be needed within the next five years.
